Buying, transferring or dividing property
Before binding commitments are signed, we review the legal status of the property, rights and charges, and agreed terms. We support sales, exchanges, divisions of jointly owned property and easements, prepare promissory contracts and acts within our remit, and arrange associated registrations and IMT and stamp duty formalities.
Property regularisation
We support legal and administrative procedures before registries, tax authorities and municipalities. Where surveys, projects or technical assessments are required, we coordinate with surveyors, architects and other qualified professionals. Feasibility depends on the property, the applicable framework and the decisions of competent authorities.
Tenancies and unpaid amounts
We prepare and review leases and support notices, termination and non-payment matters. We consider out-of-court recovery and the Portuguese payment order procedure where legally available.
Where eviction proceedings or court action are required, we coordinate the matter with lawyers who collaborate with the office and have the appropriate expertise for the case, in accordance with applicable procedural requirements.
